The traditional and most widely used construction services delivery method, General Contracting is used most often for projects that are fully designed and shovel ready. In simplest terms, as General Contractor H. V. Collins Company takes responsibility in executing your vision, transforming design into the completed project. Commitments to safety, quality, schedule, and cost are met through best project management. Design teams and owners remain actively engaged in monitoring progress.
As Construction Manager, H.V. Collins Company begins working with you early on or prior to the design process, collaboratively identifying program solutions and providing information to support key project decisions such as sell or hold, lease or purchase, build new or renovate, and phased or single stage implementation. A Construction Manager generally provides the same services as a General Contractor, with an added Pre-Construction component that provides insight into cost effectiveness and construction efficiency of the various options described above. The primary advantage of the CM approach is receipt of cost information early on in the project timeline, affording owners the ability to better plan and to make informed project decisions ahead of significant design effort investment.

Collins Company has served as a trusted partner for well over $100 million in completed Design-Build projects in which we served as the single point of responsibility for the seamless delivery of design and construction services for the project. This procurement method provides the shortest timeline between inception and delivery of an operational facility and is employed with greatest success on projects with critical schedule sensitivity.
