Part of a $44 million, multi-phased, complete renovation of the Rhode Island College’s two largest academic buildings (Gaige Hall and Craig-Lee Hall). The renovation featured 15 classrooms, a computer lab, a multi-purpose room, an auditorium and added student lounge space.
H.V. Collins was awarded the contract for construction of a new 51,000 square foot Pre-K and Kindergarten school building/early childhood education center to meet growing student and community needs.
Converted Hannigan Elementary School into a Pre-K through Grade 5 school in New Bedford, MA. The 74,000 square-foot, three-story elementary school is LEED Gold project and was recognized as a “William W. Caudill Citation as the top Prek-12 entry in the 2019 American School & University Architectural Portfolio.”
This multi-family project involved constructing 43 new residential apartments, in conjunction with renovations to the historic Roslindale Electric Substation. The project encompasses 50,000 square-feet of renovations and new construction.
The new three-story 115,000 square feet Central Middle School building is a structural steel frame with exterior metal studs and brick veneer. It is constructed under the MA Energy code and was awarded LEED Gold certification in 2015. The facility includes a 450 seat performing arts auditorium and a full size gymnasium.Cost: $31 million
These separate projects consisted of gut renovations to two of the original buildings that comprised the MIT Lincoln Laboratory campus built in the 1950s at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. Both are Design-Build projects with a total value of $37 million, encompassing 150,000 square feet. Use of the completed facility includes headquarters for the Nuclear Command Acquisition Group.
